Ujjain: Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) invited applications from eligible farmers for loan waiver under ‘Jai Kisan Fasal Loan Waiver Scheme’. The lists of beneficiaries are available at the UMC office and all zone offices as well. The UMC public relation officer informed that 241 application forms have been received till date. Mayor Meena Jonwal and municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal appealed to the beneficiaries to submit photo copies of Aadhaar card and Kisan Credit Card at the UMC office to avail the scheme. Mayor performs ‘bhoomi pujan’ Mayor Meena Jonwal performed bhoomi pujan in ward number 3 for concrete road construction. On this occasion corporator Gulnaz Khan and Noori Khan were also present. Encroachments from Dewasgate bus stand removed The UMC gang removed encroachments from Dewasgate bus stand and Charak Hospital area. The team removed kiosks and other encroachments. They also removed illegal hoarding from various areas of the city.
Competitions under Atal Kehl Mela heldUMC on Sunday organised various competitions under Atal Khel Mela in the city. Kho-Kho competition was organised in Lokmanya Tilak School. Mayor Meena Jonwal presided over the concluding programme while mayor-in-council member Durga Choudhary was the special guest of the function. Similarly, divisional level table tennis competition was also held on the same premises. Prizes were distributed by mayor Jonwal. Likewise, state-level Malkhambh competition also concluded on Sunday in the chairpersonship of mayor Jonwal and civic body president Sonu Gehlot was the chief guest.
