Ujjain: Progs to honour women power & hail their contributions held

Ujjain: International Women’s Day was celebrated across the city by various organisations to honour women power and hail their contribution for society at large on Friday.

KVK hosts prog at Kalesar

Agriculture Science Centre (KVK) organised a programme on Friday to mark International Women’s Day at village Kalesar. Senior scientist Dr RP Sharma convened the programme. Dr Sharma in his address laid stress on removal of malnutrition in children and education of village girl and women. The programme was presided over by sarpanch Bhura Kunwar. Cultural programmes like quiz and painting competition were organised on this occasion in which women participated with enthusiasm.

Free gas connection provided to women

In a function organised on international women’s day Mahakal Indane gas service provided free of cost gas connections to 65 women and felicitated women social workers. Corporator Yogeshwari Rathore was the chief guest of the programme while sales officer Manish Kumar, director Sandhya Airen and other noted persons were present during the programme. The programme was conducted by director Bhagwandas Airen while gratitude was expressed by Alok Airen.

Women feted in Sabla Sabha

District Women and child development department organised a Sabla Sabha and felicitated women working in different walks of life. Corporator Kalawati Yadav, Sapna Sankhala, ASP Rashmi Agrawal, Renu Vashishtha, Kirti Mishra, Dr Satvinderkaur Saluja, Preeti Chouhan and Rubee Yadav were feted on this occasion. Assistant director Gurudutt Pandey, district women empowerment officer Sabir Ahmend Siddqui, project officer Reena and other officials attended the programme.

BSS holds beauty competition

Hundreds of Sindhi women participated in a draping competition organised by Bharatiya Sindhu Sabha on international women’s day. Spokesperson Deepak Rajwani told that women in the age group of 20 to 40 and 41 to 55 among other categories took part in the competition and showcased Indian legacy of dressing. The programme was conducted by Dr Meena Wadhwani and vote of thanks was delivered by Mona Chawala.

Drive for differently abled women & girls

Founder of Sevadham Ashram and his wife Kanta Goyal will start a campaign to provided shelter differently abled stray women and girl. According to Kanta Goyal she spends her time caring for over 500 inmates of the ashram. She said that disabled stray women and girl are on the radar of miscreants now-a-days and they can be harassed by them, therefore a drive to same them will launch by the ashram.

Women educationists feted

Women educationists were felicitated at government Madhav Arts and Commerce College on Friday. For special contribution in education and professor of Economics Sharda Shinde and yoga guru Manju Tiwari were felicitated. On this occasion Dr Mansoor Khan, Dr RC Sharma and other scholars were present. The programme was convened by Dr Shobha Mishra. Principal Dr Mansoor Khan presided over the programme while Dr Zafermehmood expressed gratitude.

Nari Shakti Samman 2019

Purnshri foundation felicitated the women by declaring Nari Shakti Samman 2019 on women’s day. The secretary Dr Rashmi Mishra and treasurer Vandhana Sharma informed that Dr Prerana Manana, Dr Nisha Tripathi, Dr Jyoti Dubey, Vidya Chourishiya and Manjula Jain were honoured by the award.

District Mahila Cong fetes women

District Women Congress head Anju Jatwa informed that women wing of the party organised a felicitation programme of the girls who have won laurels for the city. On this occasion Taruna Chavre, Sandhya Gehlot, and Puja Malviya were felicitated. Lok Sabha observer Dheerubhai Patel, Surendra Singh Raghuvanshi and JC Borasi were the special guest of the programme. The programme was conducted by Riaz Mohammed.

Geetashridhar Seva Sansthan felicitates women

On the occasion of women’s day Geetashridhar religious, cultural and social service sansthan felicitated 3 senior women social workers to mark the women’s day. Rampyaribai Sahu, Nadanben Bamniya and Hiramani Kahar were honoured on this occasion. The welcome speech was delivered by Sachin Parihar and the programme was conducted by Rupesh Kabra. The gratitude was expressed by Vikas Khandelwal.

Women have scaled the unimaginable heights, respect her. Women should be united to remove social inequality. Above exclamation was given by principal Ulka Yadav on the occasion of International women’s day celebrated by staff club at Government Girls Post-Graduate College. Staff Club Secretary Vandna Tripathi said that inequality in men and women will decrease with increase in women education and social development. Dr. Bharti Jain said that women have to decide and take steps to progress now. Dr. Seema Sharma and Saroj Krare said that each day is women’s day. Nirmala Gupta said that for improvement in women condition, men and women both should have to take initiative. Dineshchandra Khandelwal said that today is the day of contemplation. We have to think what we will give to our next generation. Women should be respectable in any age and any time. Dr Nikhil Joshi said that women have not solely said but they have shown. They are moving forward in every field. Dr Anand Sandal told that men and women are symbol of Shiv and Power (Shakti). The programme was addressed by Vinod Gupta, Vikrant Shah and Dr Virendra. Programme was conducted by Dr Bharti Jain and gratitude was expressed by Dr Vandna Tripathi.

Sanitary pads vending machine installed

Rotary Club of Ujjain installed a pad vending machine at Langer Petrol pump to mark women’s day and feted women. Ujjain unit head Shubha Jain the machine was dedicated by corporator Durga Choudhary. On this occasion Ravi Langer, Avinash Gupta and other club members were present.

Seva Bharti felicitates women

Social organisation Seva Bharti honoured the women to mark women’s day. Programme convener Mamta Sangte told that social worker Bhawanti Mahavar, Ritu Reniwal, Lakshmi Bangariyha and Rashri Rathore were felicitated on this occasion. The programme was presided over by Om Jain while it was conducted by secretary Ritesh Soni. The guests were introduced by Goutam Sharma.

MPEB honours women electrician

Women electricians were honoured by giving letters of citation on conclusion of their of training by engineer PS Chouhan at regional training centre of Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Vitaran Company limited.

Damini Mahila Sangh inaugurated

Damini Mahila Swayam Siddha Sangh was inaugurated on Friday. According to spokesperson Payal Meena Dr Sudha Kothari was the chief guest of the programme. Meena said that this organisation is formed and run by the women.
