Ujjain: Municipal Corporation organised ‘Pratibha Samman Samaroh’ at Tower Square on Wednesday during which meritorious students of class 10th and class 12th of city were felicitated and awarded them with laptops, two-wheelers and computers. Class 10 students Himanshi Rathore, Sanjana Parihar, Harshita Gohil along with class 12 students Ayushi Sharma, Muskan Suryavanshi and Nimisha Manawat were felicitated in the programme.
Divyang student were awarded with cash prize of Rs 51, 000. Commercial, domestic composters feted Municipal corporation also felicitated Hotel Anju Shree, Rudraksh hotel and Hotel Imperial for using on-sight composting technique. Domestic compost makers Nidhi tendon, Pradeep Bhati, Sarfaraj Mirza, Praveen Garg, Om Prakash Bairagi and Rajesh Tirthankar were honoured during programme.
Mayor Meena Jonwal presided over the programme and MLA Mohan Yadav participated as chief guest in the event. MIC member Mangilal Kadel, Neelu Khatri, Kalawati Yadav, Radheshyam Verma and Durga Choudhary participated in the programme. Rais Nizami anchored the programme.
Cong objects over posters sans CM’s photo Congress raised objections on the Pratibha Samman Samaroh’s posters missing out on CM Kamal Nath’s photograph. Congress spokesperson Vivek Gupta raised objections with municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal and urged her to take against the persons concerned. Pal assured the party members of strict actions against the concerned ones.
