Ujjain: Pratibha Pal instructs officials to redress public grievances quickly

Ujjain: UMC commissioner Pratibha Pal convened a meeting of officials of various departments of the civic body for redressal of grievances registered with CM Helpline and others. Addressing the meeting, Pal said that grievances should not be kept pending in any condition. All the officials very well how know to resolve grievances and the plaintiff must be satisfied, she added.

Pal also insisted that pending public grievances should be redressed soon. Additional commissioner Manoj Pathak, Pawankumar Chouhan, deputy commissioner Sunil Shah, assistant commissioner Subodh Jain, executive engineer Rambabu Sharma and other officials attended the meeting.

Cleanliness measures reviewed

During the meeting, cleanliness measures were also reviewed and suggestions were given to improve arrangements. The commissioner instructed the officials concerned to keep the roads and streets clean. Denizens should be encouraged to get compost units installed at their houses. Vegetable markets, bus stands and other busy areas should remain clean.

Sewage treatment plant and lines inspected

Pratibha Pal on Tuesday inspected sewage lines and treatment plant. She visited various areas of the city and instructed the officials concerned to lay zone wise sewage lines.

Place for installation of  Vajpayee’s statue selected

The mayor has selected Maksi Road square for installation of the statue of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. She also instructed the officials to beatify the square for this purpose. Mayor in council member Satyanarayan Chouhan, Vikas Malviya, zonal officer Yogendra Gangrade and PC Yadav were also present with the mayor on the occasion.

Mayor inspects on-going construction work

Mayor Meena Jonwal on Tuesday inspected the ongoing construction works in the city. According UMC officials, the mayor visited Maksi Road, Rishi Nagar located Yatayat Park and Dewas Road areas to inspect on-going development works there. During her visit, Jonwal instructed the officials concerned to ensure quality construction works and completion within deadline.
