Ujjain: Miscreants set godown on fire after stealing goods

Ujjain: Some miscreants entered a scrap godown located in Koyalafatat area and made away with cash of Rs 12,000 on Saturday early morning. They also set the godown on fire. According to Dewasgate police, scrap godown of Aqeeb Qureshi was set on fire by some unidentified miscreants after committing theft. The fire was controlled by fire fighters later. Police registered an FIR and started probe into the matter.

Police further said that the miscreants also targeted incense sticks factory at Dhancha Bhawan and stole valuable goods. Here also they set the factory on afire. On being informed, fire brigades reached the spots and controlled the fire. Police also recovered liquor bottles and snacks from both the places. Factory owner Prakash Rai’s statements were recorded by the police. Further investigations are on.
