Ujjain: MISA detainees stage dharna against stoppage of pension

Ujjain: MISA (Maintenance Of Internal Security Act) detainees held a dharna at Tower Chowk on Thursday to protest against revoking of their pension by the Congress led state government and handed over a memorandum addressed to the governor of the state.

Loktantra Senani Sangh district head Narendra Sankhala said dharna was held by over 100 MISA detainees from 12 to 3pm.
Ashok Kotwani, Virandra Kawadiya, Babulal Jain, Jagdish Agrawal, Suresh Sharma, Manoharlal Jain, Sukmal Jain, Indersingh Thakur, Goverdhan Paliwal and other detainees addressed the meeting and lambasted the state government for revoking the pension. The orators alleged CM Kamalnath for insulting them by revoking pension.

Bhimsingh, Umaraosingh, Mahendra Nahar, Surendrasingh Choudhary, Narendra Choudhary, Hansraj Agrawal, Kailash Narayan, Mukesh and other detainees from Tal, Ratlam, Ujjain, Barnagar, Agar and Mandsaur attended the dharna. The detainees maintainted that it is undemocratic to revoke the pension, they appealed the governor to continue their pension.
