Ujjain: A workshop on GST was jointly organised by Tax practitioners’ association Ujjain and MP Tax Law Bar Association.
Conference chairman PK Das told that during one day state level workshop principal orator Sunil P Jain, Rajendra Sodani, Anil Dalal, Ashwin Lakhotiya, Manhish Tripathi lit the lamps and inaugurated the workshop. The guests were welcomed by senior advocate KL Sodani, VK Navlakha, Jitendra Apte, Prasoon Bhawalkar, Kamini Meharwal, Sourabh Maheshwari, Avi Benson, Yeshwant Lohane, Amit Tiwari, Lokendra Jain and OP Goyal. PK Das delivered the welcome speech while Ashwin Lakhotiya and Rajendra Sodani also addressed the workshop.
CA Suinil Jain made a presentation on GST annual return and audit report submission. Jain told that GST annual return form GSTR must be submitted by the taxpayer by June 30, delay in filing the return will attract a penalty of Rs 200 per day. Once return is filed by the taxpayer an no modification shall be allowed in it. A GST audit will be compulsory for the taxpayers whose annual turnover exceeds the amount of Rs 2 crore. The returns shall be based on GST R-1, GSTR -3B and actual accounts. Das informed that Sourabh Sodani introduced the guests during the programme while the programme was conducted by Amol Joshi. The vote of thanks was delivered by Manish Tripathi.
