Ujjain: Dewas CMHO removed for laxity in providing health services

Ujjain: Health minister Tulsi Silawat paid his visit to the city on Tuesday and held an divisional review meeting organised by health department. Addressing the meeting Silawat told that the health department should make efforts to inspire commoner for choosing government hospitals instead of private nursing homes for delivery.

In government hospital under state government scheme an aid of Rs 16 thousand is given to the mother of the baby for post delivery expenses, while in private nursing homes the patient has to pay a big amount which causes a burden on poor. In private hospital doctors generally insist on Caesarean deliveries to increase the bill amount, he added. He instructed health officials to inspect private nursing homes regularly.

Reviewing Janani Express Seva scheme, he said many complaints have been received of death of pregnant ladies while travelling to the hospital. He instructed the officials to investigate such cases and punished the guilty. He also instructed the officials to ensure that payment of the amount of financial aid to the pregnant lady, are made immediately.

Health commissioner instructed them to take action against ANM, ASHA and other responsible officials for messy health services. The commissioner also instructed to remove CMHO Dewas for negligence in providing health services to the commoners.

The health minister insisted to improve dialysis facilities in government hospitals. The meeting was attended by health commissioner Nitesh Vyas, divisional commissioner Ajeet Kumar, national health mission director Nishant Barvade, chief medical officers of the other districts of Ujjain division and other concerned officials.

Janswasthya Rakshaks hand over memo

Madhya Pradesh Janswasthya Rakshak association handed over a memorandum to health minister Tulsi Silawat. The members of the organisation demanded their appointment at Anganwadis and Arogya Kendra across the state. Rajaram Choudhary informed that Babulal Anjana, Dilip Mehta, Prabhu Rathore, KP Shah and hundreds of janswasthya rakshaks were present on the occasion.

Silawat accorded warm welcome on arrival

Health minister Tulsi Silawat was given a warm welcome on his visit on Tuesday. Under the leadership of district Congress general secretary Mahendra Yadav and secretary Lalit Lulla Congress party members accorded welcomed the minister at Kanthal Square. On this occasion Sanjay Sharma Maqsood Pathan and other Congress leaders were present.

The minister was also welcomed by social worker Vivek Jaiswal and his supporters on Naisadak with drumbeats. Silawat boosted the Congress worker by addressing them and appreciated Congress workers for their efforts. On this occasion Dhananjay Upadhyay Manoj Parkikh and other members were present.

Similarly Madhav Nagar block Congress members welcomed the minister under the leadership of Ashok Udaywal near C-21 Mall. On this occasion Congress leader Chetan Yadav, Batukshankar Joshi and other senior Congress leaders were present. Minister’s son Nitish Silawat also accompanied him on the visit
