Ujjain: Commissioner chairs first high level meeting after assuming charge

Ujjain: Newly appointed divisional Commissioner of Ujjain division, Ajit Kumar held high level meeting just after taking charge on Tuesday. IG Rakesh Gupta, Collector Shashank Mishra, SP Sachin Atulkar and other authorities were present in the meeting in which Ajit Kumar prioritize the tasks and charted out the course of work to be performed on priority in the division.

Addressing the meeting Ajit Kumar reviewed the status of Kshipra water at various ghats of the city and gathered information about the process of carrying water from Narmada River to Kshipra and issues and obstacles coming in its implementation. He directed the chief engineer of Narmada Valley Development Authority to present detailed report incorporating barrages and valve points installed in Narmada Kshipra linking project.

IG Rakesh Gupta directed the authorities to install barricades and changing rooms at Ram Ghat as preparations of Makar Sankranti scheduled to be held on January 14. Municipal Commissioner Pratibha Pal, Jila Panchayat CEO Sandeep GR, SDM GS Dabur and other officers were present in the programme.
