Ujjain: Municipal Corporation has taken several initiatives and put considerable resources to make city climb the ladder in Swachhta Survekshan-2019. Municipal Commissioner Pratibha Pal asserted that the cleanliness arrangement made for the city will continue even after the completion of Survekshan as changes can be clearly seen in the city besides the people’s approach towards cleanliness. She further said city has inherited incomparable religious, spiritual and cultural heritage which should be preserved with little efforts of cleanliness.
Pratibha Pal ordered municipal officers and workers to seize unused private items lying on the roads and submit them in the ‘Waste Material Centre’, especially formed for it. Mayor inspects cleanliness measures on banks of Kshipra: Mayor Meena Jonwal marked the inspection of major banks of River Kshipra on Monday during which she scrutinized the cleanliness arrangements. She directed the workers to ensure religious and domestic waste disposal in dustbins only.
During visit of Bhuki Mata area, she directed the officers to install drinking water facility. Joint Commissioner Manoj Pathak and deputy commissioner Sunil Shah also accompanied her during inspection. EWS houses bookings from today Booking of houses under EWS segment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at Manchaman area will begin from Tuesday. Booking will be done for remaining 132 housing units in Manchaman areas. Under the aforesaid scheme, citizens can submit form, documents along with deposit of 50,000 and at Municipal Corporation Zone-4 office, Dussehra maidan from Tuesday.
