Ujjain: The BJP has replied to allegations of Congress on participation in Republic Day programme on Monday. The BJP released a press note in which ex-minister and MLA Paras Jain condemned mediocre politics of Congress. He asserted that city administration failed to invite the dignitaries as per standard protocol as incumbent government was using administration against the BJP.
He also asked CM Kamal Nath whether he would take action against officers over negligence. Similarly, MP Chintamani Malviya asserted that government showed disrespect towards public representatives by not inviting them to government programme.
MLA Mohan Yadav said he participated in several other Republic Day functions but escaped the District administration’s programme because they did not follow the protocol. Mayor Meena Jonwal termed it as a failure of the government. She said during the tenure of previous government officials extended invite to dignitaries and personally called on them to invite them for the events.
