Ujjain: Bhartiya Janata Party blew poll bugle and organised Vijay Sankalp meeting on Sunday at Ghattiya tehsil. District BJP media in-charge Sachin Saxena said that state BJP head Rakesh Singh addressed the meeting and said that the new India was in offensive mood. The meeting was attended by a large numbers of farmers and party workers of Ujjain division. Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava and Narottam Mishra were special guests. The guests were welcomed by district BJP head Vivek Joshi and Shyam Bansal (rural).
Taking a dig at Congress, Rakesh Singh said that the party never gave army the liberty of initiating strict action against enemies. “We destroyed terrorist camps in Pakistan just because of the firm will power and valour of our army. The party boosted army’s moral,” he said and accused Congress of peddling lies and demanding proof of Indian action at Balakot. He claimed that the language used by Congress was same as Pakistan’s
Addressing the meeting, LoP Gopal Bhargava tore into Congress and said that Congress-led state government was also spreading lies about BJP-led Central government. Bhargava lambasted senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for his comment on Pulwama attack on CRPF jawans. Former minister Narottam Mishra alleged that the government was serious on farm loan waiver. Certificates of loan waiver were issued to only a handful of farmers. The state government was neither keen in welfare of youth nor about providing jobs to them.
The leaders asked workers to work untiringly till the election for the sake of country’s progress and ensure formation of a stable government at the Centre. The meeting was also addressed by MP Chintamani Malviya, former MP Satyanarayan Jatiya, Iqbalsingh Gandhi, mayor Meena Jonwal, MLA Paras Jain and Bahadursingh Chouhan. MLA Mohan Yadav Jagdish Agrawal, Bahadursingh Mukati, Sultansihgh Shekhawat, Sonu Gehlot and Anil Jain Kaluheda were also present. Suresh Giri and Ashok Katariya conducted the meeting while gratitude was expressed by Iqbalsingh Gandhi.
