Kiara Advani tells Anita Raheja-Heena Agarwal that she looks best in comfort wear

As Megha in Karan Johar’s segment of Lust Stories, she left her onscreen mother-in-law and husband scandalised…and won every heart in the audience. The beautiful and lively Kiara Advani is sure to go places in her professional life, even as she charms with her style at every social event.

My favourite outfit: I don’t have a particular favourite outfit but something you can never go wrong with is a black dress. It’s the perfect outfit to dress up or down depending on the occasion.

My favourite outfit when I am driving to a shoot: When driving to shoot comfort is a priority, I’m usually in a tracksuit or a loose T-back.

My favourite outfit when I go clubbing: When I go clubbing I like to experiment depending on my mood. Heels are a must for me whether I wear dressy shorts, a romper, or a dress.

My favourite outfit for a formal occasion: I love the wedding season and I love wearing Indian outfits. I opt for a fun lehenga, a light sari or a beautiful Anarkali depending on the occasion as our weddings have many different functions.

I like to sleep in:  My Victoria Secret pyjamas have been with me for a long while now; somehow the older they get the more comfy they feel!

My favourite designers: Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Shehla Khan to name a few.

My favourite brands in clothes:  I wear a lot of High Street brands as they complement my age and personality and keep it contemporary. When I travel I stock up my wardrobe from Topshop, Miss Selfridge, River Island, Bershka, Pull n Bear.

In Mumbai, Zara is fabulous especially for their basics, jeans and seasonal prints.

My favourite colours: I love white – because it goes with every colour, pastel colours and blue.

My favourite fabrics: Anything that is soft, comfortable and luxurious.

I have a soft corner for: Shoes and I keep them very carefully. I love shoes especially my sky-high heels, Oxfords, Moccasins and Booties.

My wardrobe is incomplete without: A white tank top.

I would like my man to be dressed in: I find men most charming in a Tuxedo and Indian wear.

According to me the best dressed men and women in the industry are: Akshay Kumar, he’s got swag! He can carry off his trackpants as dapperly as his tux. Kareena Kapoor brings alive whatever she wears.

My favourite brand in sunglasses: Prada, amongst others.

My favourite perfumes: Michael Kors and Narciso Rodriguez.

My handbag always has: My wallet, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, some mint and my lip gloss.

In shoes the brand I patronise: Steve Madden and Kurt Geiger.

My shampoo and conditioner: Kerastase.

I admire the hair of: Dimple Kapadia. It’s rich in volume, looks healthy and she looks stunning. I can’t imagine her having a bad hair day!

My haircare routine comprises: I make sure to wash my hair every two days and I try to oil my hair once a month and indulge myself with a hair spa after a long shoot schedule.

My favourite shades in make-up: I prefer neutral make-up, a light blush and mascara with tinted lip gloss.

The features I like to highlight when doing make-up are: My lashes are fairly long so I wear lots of mascara and I like highlighting my cheekbones too.

While not shooting my make-up comprises: A light lip colour moisturiser.

My tip on clothes: Always be comfortable and dress according to your body type, set your own trends.

My tip on hair care: Brush your hair before you sleep.

My tip on make-up: The less, the better.
