Indore : Police have charged two persons for providing shelter and assistance to Shahzad Lala murder case prime accused Babbu, who was arrested from Sendhwa on Saturday night.
According to the police, Babbu alias Sultan Sheikh, a resident of Kadar Colony, was brought to Sadar Bazaar police station and questioned closely.
During his questioning Babbu admitted that two persons, who were also nabbed with him— Ayaz alias Guddu and Irfan— had helped him escape and also assisted him in avoiding arrest. It may be recalled that acting on a tip off the police were checking all vehicle plying on Manpur Road and when the car with Babbu made a bid to escape.
The police chased them and the chase ended when the car fell into a ditch and Babbu and his accomplices were arrested. Babbu carried a reward of Rs 15000 on his head and he may name some more persons who assisted him to escape and hide and the police are planning to name them as accused.
