Indore : Police on Sunday arrested remaining four accused, who tried to disturb peace and harmony of the city during a demonstration staged by members of a particular community. With this, the police arrested more than a dozen youths for the violence.
It may be recalled that following objectionable remarks made by a Hindu Mahasabha leader on December 8 in Lucknow, members of the Muslim community had taken out a massive demonstration at Regal square. Although the demonstration was to be peaceful, some youths tried to disturb peace and harmony by attacking a car, auto-rickshaw and a motorcyclist and even pelted stones at a garment showroom. Some of the trouble makers were nabbed on the same day while four more, identified as Amin Khan of Kohinoor Colony, Salim Mansoori of Madina Nagar, Aqeel Qureshi of Kohinoor Colony and Rafiq Ansari of Azad Nagar, were arrested on Sunday.
