Indore : Accepting requests made by students and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has extended the last date to register online for admission in MBA courses offered by management colleges in the state till July 12.

Initially, the last date to register for admission was June 30. The registrations started on June 12.

As undergraduate courses final semester exam results delayed in most of the universities in the state, including DAVV, the students had made a representation before the DTE requesting it to extend the deadline for applying for MBA counselling.

Over delay in UG sixth semester results, a protest was staged by MBA aspirants at the DAVV on June 19 forcing it to shot off a letter to DTE urging to extend the last date for applying for MBA counselling at least by 10 days.

Accepting the requests of the students and the varsity, the DTE has extended the last date for registering for MBA counselling till July 12.

However, by the time the DTE extended the date, the DAVV already announced results of UG final semester exams.

The results of BA, BCom and BSc sixth semester exam were declared by June 28 by the DAVV. However, results of UG final semester exams at universities including Ranidurgawati University in Jabalpur and Rewa University are still awaited. So for the students of those universities, the extension has come as a major relief.
