Man kills self, leaves suicide note on arm

Indore : A youth committed suicide in an ashram near Bada Ganpati late on Monday night by hanging himself from the ceiling. He wrote a suicide note using mehandi and blamed the ashram mahant for his death. Police have sent the body for autopsy and registered a case.

According to CS Badle, TI of Malharganj police station, the body was discovered in Lal Mandir located in Kadabeen early on Tuesday morning.

Police team reached the spot, brought down the body and sent it for autopsy. The youth was identified as Gajendra Sharma (21). The mahant found the body around 3:30 am and called the police.

Gajendra wrote a note using mehandi and blamed continuous harassment by Mahant Gopaldas for his death.

Gajendra had gone to meet his brother Arvind, who resides in Nageen Nagar, on Monday and looked disturbed. Arvind had asked the reason, but Gajendra avoided replying to the question.

Gajendra had also called his brother-in-law, who resides in Jabalpur on phone. Based on the phone records, the police called his brother-in-law, who in turn informed Gajendra’s family.

Gajendra’s family hails from Narsingpur and he is the youngest of five brothers. He reportedly came into contact with the mahant year-and-half ago and came to Indore ashram to learn veda while working as a priest.
