Amidst model code of conduct, state higher education minister Jitu Patwari took about 50 speech and hearing impaired children of an ashram in Prakash Nagar to a five star hotel for a lunch on Thursday, which was Holi. The minister took them after one of the children expressed wish to have meal at a five star hotel.
Patwari was celebrating Holi with children at the ashram, when five-year-old Kunal said he wants to have lunch at a five star hotel. Patwari agreed and arranged for vehicles to carry 50 children at a five star hotel at Ring Road. On way to hotel, children sang Holi songs.
On reaching hotel, Patwari and other Congress leaders helped children to get seated and offer them food. Ashram management thanked Patwari for the “kind act” and said political leaders visit ashram with promises to help but rarely return. Indeed, the trip became memorable for kids.
