After the closure of the admission window, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has started giving final touches to the examination calendar for session 2021-22 as per requirements of the New Education Policy.
Generally, the academic session starts from July 1 but this year Covid-19 crisis delayed the session by two-and-a-half-months. The university is preparing a new schedule of the examinations ensuring the delay in commencement of session does not affect the exam calendar much.

A university official said that more than three lakh students will appear in examinations in session 2021-22.
“We have prepared a preliminary blueprint for the examinations. From December, we will start all those exams in which the New Education Policy has not been implemented. In January, we will mostly hold the first semester exams of PG courses. In the courses which have an annual system, the final year exam will be conducted in first week of March and first year in May, ” said Prof Ashesh Tiwari, DAVV examination controller.
For the first time, the university will have to set papers for 50 new subjects also. These include subjects include Minerals and Rocks, MS Office, Computer Fundamentals, Nursery Management, Indian Political System, Beekeeping, , Non-Conventional Energy Resources, House Keeping and Hospitality Management, Money and Banking etc. The university will have to search paper setters also for these subjects. Besides, 50 new vocational subjects have been added to the list of exams as the New Education Policy.
