Indore: Citing Gangaur festival, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has postponed examination of BCom and BSc sixth semester, which were scheduled on Monday. Deputy registrar (exams) Prajwal Khare said exams were postponed as colleges denied holding exams on Gangaur. “As we don’t have any alternate arrangements for setting up exam centres, we suspended the exams for the festival,” he said.
According to Khare, the BCom’s suspended paper exam would be held on April 10 and BSc sixth semester suspended paper on April 11. However, the university did not suspend exams for BCom (Hons) sixth semester. The number of students in BCom (Hons) was less and centres were set up at select colleges, which did not deny holding exams.
