Indore: Goods kept inside a shop were gutted after it caught fire due to short circuit on Sunday morning. No casualties were reported in the incident. According to police fire brigade team, shop named Shreeji Namkeen located at RNT Marg in Chhawani area caught fire at 5.10 am.

The team reached the spot and controlled it from spreading. It was extinguished with help of 2.5 tankers of water and 60 litres of foam. The shop belonged to Ashwin Sharma. The exact reason behind fire outbreak is unknown but police suspect it to be short circuit.

Though the shop was fully burned, exact loss caused is unknown. In another incident, a truck caught fire in Mechanic Nagar on early Sunday morning. Fire brigade team used two tankers of water to extinguish fire though its exact reason is unknown.

The owner of the truck was informed and no casualties were reported in the incident. In another incident, the grass in green belt area near airport caught fire on Saturday evening. The local residents and commuters informed about it following which the fire brigade team used half tanker of water to douse flames.
