India Post is offering ‘My Stamp’ printing facility for Simhastha in Ujjain. My Stamp is the brand name for personalised sheets of postage stamps of India Post. The personalisation is achieved by printing a thumb nail photograph of the customer’s images and logos of institutions, or images of artwork, heritage buildings, famous tourist places, historical cities, wildlife, other animals and birds etc, alongside the selected commemorative postage stamp.

During Simhastha in Ujjain in April-May 2016, India Post is offering My Stamp with the picture of the theme of Mahakal. Rai disclosed, “This facility will be available during Simhastha, customers can book their copy with a payment of Rs 300.” Further, he disclosed that 1500 people have already registered for the same.

Functional Schemes

Rai said, “Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (accident insurance), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (life insurance) and Atal Pension Yojana are functional in post offices now.” Interested account holders can avail the benefits under the scheme by sending an application to the post office.

Quicker and wider postal service

Rai said, “The air service via Indore and Mumbai-Delhi expanded its functions to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Guwahati and other cities.” This service delivers the post within 16 hours after submission. “Customers can check the status of their speed post through SMS,” he added. He urged people to enter the correct pin code in their mails. The main reason for delays in mail delivery is incorrect or illegible pin code details.
