IMC DEMARKS SHOPPERS STOP AND STELLAR FURNITURE

Indore : Continuing raids against the major commercial properties in the city and the IMC measurement campaign on Monday reached Shoppers Stop and Stellar furniture. The higher official would soon initiate actions against both the buildings to pay the extra building taxes to IMC.

IMC also initiated actions against a major defaulterafter receiving instructions from the Directorate of Urban Administration and Development Department situated in Bhopal. IMC also has prepared a list of the major commercial spaces and other potential tax evading buildings and is initiating raids on the same. On Monday, the officials measured two prime buildings at AB Road and found major differences between what they claimed on paper and the actual measurements. The difference in tax amount due after calculations was determined at Rs6.50L. Additional Commissioner, Devendra Singh space in Stellar furniture was 15,533sqft extra than the declared space on paper thus adding up Rs1.75L more to tax amount. The higher officials said initially notices would be served to pay the taxes. If the owner fails to pay then IMC may take further actions.
