Indore Taking a dig at Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Sunday said that dynasty can get him a party chief’s post but it doesn’t bring vision and wisdom.

“When you don’t have vision and wisdom, you start lying to people,” he said while addressing a public meeting here at Dussehra Maidan. Modi expressed confidence about retaining power claiming that there was anti-incumbency against the Congress-led UPA government in 2014 but now there is pro-incumbency.

Taking a potshot at Opposition parties, he said that leaders of some parties which are contesting elections on merely 20 or 30 seats also are dreaming to become Prime Minister. Some of them had even forged alliance with a common agenda of unseat Modi.

“But they would be left disappointed as people from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Kutch to Arunachal Pradesh has decided to reelect his government,” he said. Modi claimed that Opposition parties question him when he raises issues of national security and terrorism during elections. “This is not municipal elections, where drainage, electric poles and city roads would be poll planks.

This is parliamentary election where terrorism and national security are poll planks,” he said. He claimed that terror strikes used to take place across the country but after he came to power the same stopped. “It is because we have adopted the policy of striking back at their home,” he added.

The PM stated that his government has given importance to technology and transparency in the last five years. “Today India’s is the third largest start-up ecosystem in the world. We will strengthen the funding mechanism of start ups in the next five years,” Modi said.
