Indore : District Collector P Narahari made a surprise check at aganwadi offices, government hospitals and juvenile correction homes on Wednesday morning and reviewed the working and records maintained by these institutions.

Narahari first went to PC Sethi Hospital and visited various wards, including maternity ward along with dialysis laboratory. He met with the patients spoke to them about the treatment received and facilities available at the hospital.

Narahari then went to children’s orphanage and met with its inmates and spoke to them about the services being rendered to them. He also visited the kitchen providing the meals to the children and inspected the quality of the food being prepared and served to the orphans.

Narhari then proceeded to the Aganwadi Kendra at Amar Tekari and spoke to the children studying in the classes. He also asked the children their names, classes and some questions on the subjects being taught at the centre. He checked the register for attendance.

Narahari concluded his tour with a visit to old age home and spoke to the residents of the home. He was accompanied by officials of health, women and child welfare and empowerment of women departments.

Narahari directed the officials to resolve any pending issues of their respective departments at the earliest.
