New Delhi : Rains lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh today as monsoons remained active in the region though there was not much change in the temperatures.
The local MeT office has warned of heavy rains in some parts of Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla Sirmaur, Solan and Una districts and heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places in Kinnaur and Mandi districts on July 7.
The MeT office has also predicted rains and thundershowers at many places in lower, mid and higher hills of the state till July 11 and heavy rains at many places on July 7 and 8.
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand government today continued its alerts, following the weather department’s forecast of heavy rains in many areas of the state, including the routes of the Chardham Yatra. CM Harish Rawat has asked all district authorities to remain vigilant to prevent loss of life or property.
