The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is believed to be a sure-shot winner in the Gujarat 2022 elections, is still fighting it as the last tough battle. While its social media wing is hyperactive, the party has now launched a computer application, ‘President Dashboard’.

The high techno computer application would collect and analyse personal data of voters as well as, more significantly, predict the election results with accuracy.

The application was launched by Gujarat BJP president CR Patil, and party workers would use it to reach out to nearly 50 lakh households across the state to collect information and seek the opinion of voters, according to State BJP media coordinator Yagnesh Dave.

Dave explained, “Each booth in charge would visit households in his area to collect information such as members in the family, birth date, marriage anniversaries and whether they have availed benefits of any government scheme. This data will be uploaded on our party’s server.”

“Using the President Dashboard application, the state BJP president would be able to access the data on his laptop and plan future strategies. It is the first such application in the entire country. We will also identify each voter. Whether he is a BJP supporter, or a party office bearer, or a supporter of the opposition party or a doubtful one,” he added.

On the day of polling, the booth in charge would sit outside the booth with the same software and tick mark those who come to vote, and this data, by evening, would predict who is winning, Dave claimed.

Launching the application, CR Patil claimed that the voters would be contacted at the booth level and information collected from them will be analyzed using the dashboard application.

He claimed that Gujarat currently has 1.13 crore BJP members and 67 lakh page committee members. Patil added that the state unit had started a fresh enrollment drive. He also launched a theme song for the new enrollment drive.
