Gandhinagar: Creating his own narrative by posing questions on behalf of the Congress and answering them himself, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held himself as the lone savior to bring the former rulers of the country to book for their wrong doing.
Modi who was on a one day election tour of his home state said, “They feel that this Gujju tea-seller has created a situation where after ruling the country for four generations, we have now to seek bail. The entire party is railing against me but I am not bothered.
You voted me to power and I have led them to upto the door. Give me five more years and you will see them in”, he added. The PM who addressed election rallies at Himmatnagar in North Gujarat, Surendranagar in Saurashtra and Anand in central Gujarat rubbished the Congress for falsehoods.
“Their election manifesto is an eyewash and one of their party advisors even denounced the country’s middle class as selfish. The opposition party is out to destroy the middle class”, he added. Modi said that the time has come for the people of India to decide the future it wants for it”s next generation. “The choice is between a nationalist govt and those who are out to balkanize the nation.”
He said that the Congress has always been hostile to Gujarat and it’s politicians. Not only was the Sardar discriminated against but even his daughter Maniben was not spared. Morarji Desai was also targeted and now I am being attacked. Just see the language that their party president uses against me”, he added.
The PM pointed out that the nation was appreciative of the good work done by his government and the vast difference that it has made to the lives of the people by pursuing development.I have been touring the country and I can sense a huge wave in favour of the BJP”, he added.
