New Delhi :  The BJP has rubbished the claims of the Aam Aadmi Party that attempts are being made to topple its Delhi government.

Both senior leader Arun Jaitley and the party’s chief ministerial aspirant Harsh Vardhan described as ‘rubbish’ these claims made by a senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh and one of its MLAs Madan Lal.

The BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has been attacking the AAP government for bringing a bad name to the country.

The Congress, which supports the AAP government, reacted to these developments by insisting that there is no point in making unsubstantiated allegations.

Union parliamentary affairs minister Kamalnath reminded the AAP that now it is a party in power, it should act like one.

‘‘AAP is not only a party but also runs the government in Delhi. It should order a probe,” he told reporters.

This controversy erupted after an AAP leader Sanjay Singh and Lal charged that some persons who claimed to be acting on behalf of senior BJP leaders had offered Rs.20 crores for each MLA to defect and bring down the Congress-supported AAP government.
