London : A new study claims that the saying ‘once a cheater, always a cheater, is in fact true, reports ANI.

According to the research, which was led by a psychology graduate, Kayla Knopp, from University of Denver, people who had been disloyal to their partners were 3 and half times likelier to cheat

in later relationships, Metro.co.uk reported.

Knopp, who looked into the previous as well as current relationships of 484 unmarried people, aged between 18 to 34 years, found that people do not learn from their experiences and mistakes, especially when it came to ‘love.’

“We like to think that we can learn from our experiences and our mistakes, especially when it comes to love,” she said, according to elle.com.

The study, which was presented at the annual American Psychological Association’s convention, also found that the victims of infidelity had more chances of being cheated on again in the future.
