Youth arrested for raping minor girl

Batala (Punjab): A youth has been arrested on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl at Jaura Singha village here. In her complaint, the victim alleged that she and her grandmother were sleeping in their house at Jaura Singha village when Dharam Singh, along with two accomplices, took her to his place where they allegedly raped her. The incident took place on the intervening night of September 17 and 18, police said. Singh, a resident of the same village, has been arrested, they said, adding that his accomplices are on the run.
