Mumbai : After her successful campaign to breach the barricades on entry of women in some Hindu temples, Bhumata Brigade chief Trupti Desai on Thursday took her movement for gender parity to the doorstep of the famous Haji Ali Dargah but stopped short of barging into the shrine, avoiding a showdown with the protesters who had gathered to thwart her. After leaving Haji Ali, she decided to continue with her protest outside the CM’s residence at Malabar Hill. However, she was taken into custody and had not been released when reports trickled in at night.
