The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Lucknow has put up posters thanking Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav for praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressing his wish to see him re-elected to office again.

The posters have been put up by BJP’s Minority Wing leader Tahir Hussain. The posters, which are put up in Lucknow, reads, “Thank you Mulayam Ji, you said what 125 crore people of the country feel.”

This comes a day after Mulayam Singh Yadav created a flutter in the Lok Sabha when he said he wished to see Narendra Modi back as prime minister. “I wish all the members of this Lok Sabha win again and return to this House. The Prime Minister has worked for everyone. He tried to take everyone along with him. I hope he returns as Prime Minister again,” Yadav said in Lok Sabha speech.

The “blessings” for Modi by Yadav that left opposition members thinking came at a time when his son Akhilesh Yadav has joined hands with arch-rival Mayawati of the Bahujan Samaj Party to challenge BJP in the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
