On Thursday morning, women commuters staged rail roko at Diva station after few women passengers were denied seat in local trains coming from Kasara and Karjat railway stations. Due to the rail roko, the local train services on Central Line in Mumbai were briefly disrupted.
According to reports, a CMST bound train arrived at Diva station at around 7.10 am when few women who were standing on the footboard of compartments didn’t let other passengers board on the train. This led to a verbal argument which soon turned into an agitation. Due to the agitation, the trains on Central Line were running behind the scheduled time.
