As we kick start this glamorous journey, stepping into a fashion filled arena, 2016 brings style to a new definition with its unique and brow raising approach. The flamboyant beauty of St. Regis, Mumbai, studded with ace designers and stylized models, calls in for a week of creativity, elegance and grandeur.

The first day had some eccentric couture that flagged itself out of the box with some uber cool extravaganza.

With a fair share of fame by creating India’s first lifestyle and furniture store, Pinakin Patel stunned this season with a gorgeous collection of summer friendly fabrics that compliment nature.

So what’s in store for summer 2016? He says, “Well, on one hand one would talk about natural fabrics, we have chanderis, we have light weight silk organzas, which make beautiful translucent garments for the light to pass through. But if you feel like wearing something synthetic, don’t feel shy because most of the places these days are climate control, just make sure they’re loose cuts, and it moves around.”

With the theme of ‘Find your Wild’ Sneha Arora gave the leeway to be untamed and free. With a summer palette of feline whites, rugged peaches and natural nudes, the collection talked hybrid animals, jumping zebras and strange stags on a lair of long shirts, open backs and summer jackets.

On the other hand Surendri by Yogesh Chaudhary displayed a lavish touch of shimmery fabrics that fit in this season for the perfect summer bride.

Coming around and up cycling fashion, Doodlage walked the ramp with its stunning range of garments made by deconstructing high end used fashion. This was followed by Kanika Goyal, Pocco & Jacky with another addition to modern approach of fashion by playing with textures.

India’s fashion pride Sabyasachi got in conversation with the man behind ‘DIESEL’, Renzo Rosso who shared their life experiences as designers, the growth of their brands and few nostalgic moments that spiked laughter amidst glamour.

Anand Kabra paved way for his charismatic designs by bringing woven yarns into light. Best known for his Hyderabadi touch and a favourite among celebs like Aditi Rao Hydari, Kabra introduced fabrics like pitta, resham, aina, gota and zar in his glitzy gorgeous collection.
