J-K: Amarnath Yatra temporarily halted due to bad weather

Srinagar: The Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily halted from both south Kashmir’s Pahalgam and north Kashmir’s Baltal routes due to heavy rainfall around the cave shrine. Earlier on July 9, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was blocked due to a landslide propelled by a heavy downpour in the Ramban district of the state. The blockade had brought the Amarnath Yatra to a halt at Patnitop, a major tourist destination in the state.
