Uttar Pradesh – Amid several crackdowns on terrorists and suspects across the nation ahead of Republic Day, a joint team of Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Maharashtra ATS have arrested a suspected Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) operative, Nizamuddin, from Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar.
He will be presented in the court today.
Nizamuddin was associated with the Indian Mujahideen and also connected with ISIS through online mediums.
He had also done recce of several parts of India including Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
