NEW DELHI: The government on Wednesday notified tabulation of the ”One rank, One pension” (OROP) to the defence personnel as declared on November 7 last year, along with the detailed instructions for payments, benefiting over 18 lakh ex-servicemen and war widows.

The revision of pension is effective from July 1, 2014, while the arrears will be paid in four installments, except to family pensioners and pensioners in receipt of gallantry awards, who will be paid arrears in one installment.

The notification fulfills the long standing demand of the forces for the last four decades.
