Veteran Bollywood actress and BJP MP Hema Malini is receiving backlash for the answer she gave on how to tackle monkey problem. A video has been posted by ANI news and in it Hema Malini has been asked a question on monkey menace in Sudama Kuti, Uttar Pradesh.
“Coexistence hai na. Monkey kahan jaega? Problem kya hai, yahan aane waale yaatri Frooti dete hain, samosa de de ke unko kharab kar diya. Unko sirf phal dijiye,” she said.
Soon after the video was out, Twitterati started mocking her and calling her answer nonsense. One user wrote, “ye bhi ek item hai. hamesha kuch naya . rahul ki badi behen hai ye” and another wrote , “Sharam ati hai dekhkar is jaise akal se Ghanchakkar log parliament pahunch jate hai elect hokar”.
Hema Malini is BJP’s candidate from Mathura and she is currently the sitting MP. She defeated Jayant Chaudhary (RLD) by a massive margin of over three lakh votes in 2014. Now, she is up against two foes – the joint might of RLD-BSP-SP mahagathbandhan and the Congress. After filing her nomination papers, she even told reporters that this is going to be her last election, but said she will be available for the people of Mathura even after that.
