New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) aspirants staged another protest today in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar, forcing Delhi Police to detain some of them.

Yesterday, the Rajya Sabha had also witnessed an uproar over the issue of the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) of the UPSC examinations.

The uproar even led to an adjournment of the Rajya Sabha for 15 minutes, as the chairman, Mohammad Hamid Ansari, refused to suspend Question Hour.

UPSC aspirants have been protesting vociferously against the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) examination, which was introduced in 2011, demanding that it be made easy for rural students.

Earlier, in a bid to resolve the CSAT row, the government took a decision that the marks of English section will not be included for merit. This decision, however, did not appease the protesting students completely as they want the CSAT to be scrapped entirely.
