New Delhi : Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chairperson Barkha Shukla on Tuesday demanded action against the policemen who allegedly set ablaze a woman anganwadi worker inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district. “The case needs to be inquired and involved policemen need to be taken action against,” Shukla told ANI. The woman succumbed to her injuries after the incident. According to reports, the woman had gone to the police station to free her husband, who had been picked up for questioning. When she refused to bribe the policemen in order to release her husband, she was set ablaze.
