Thiruvananthapuram: After resigning from his post of Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy on Friday exuded Confidence and said that the Congress will face no problem in returning to power as the vote share of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state hasn’t increased much.

Taking to media Chandy said, “BJP’s vote share hasn’t increased much compared to last polls, Congress will face no problem in returning to power.”

As per the final tally, LDF got 85 seats, while UDF settled for 47. The BJP-led NDA created history by bagging the Nemom seat and coming second in some constituencies.
Earlier, Congress leader P.C. Chako said his party will analyse the reason behind the defeat and fight back.

“We will analyse in depth the reason of defeat in these four states. Congress has the inner strength to fight back this situation, we have faced even worst situations in the past,” said Congress leader P.C. Chako.
