Mumbai : It was not just the local trains but also the newly inaugurated swanky coaches of the Metro that were hit by the rains. Within a month of being inaugurated one of the coaches of the Metro started leaking after an AC unit in the coach malfunctioned.
Water was kept dripping persistently from the AC vent as the commuters stood staring. The coach of the Metro was put out of service as soon as the incident was reported. A spokesperson of the Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) confirmed the incident and said, “Out of the 16 trains in service, one of the train’s AC unit reportedly malfunctioned during heavy showers. The coach was replaced with another one kept as a stand-by to avoid any impact on the services. It shall join the regular run from Thursday.”
