Kabul: At least six people were killed and six others wounded in two separate explosions in Afghan capital of Kabul on Tuesday, an official said. Three civilians were killed after a blast took place in front of Kabul Education University building in western Kabul at around 4.00 p.m.

“Explosive placed in a cooker was detonated by terrorists in fifth police district, causing three innocent civilians martyred,” Interior Ministry spokesman, Seddiq Seddiqi said on his twitter account, Xinhua reported. The attack took place when the students were leaving the compound.

The security forces have launched a massive manhunt in the area to nab the culprits behind the incident. The second blast came 10 minutes later, killing three children and wounding six people. The blast came after an explosive device left from civil war went off in Dasht-e-Barchi area of southwestern part of the city.
