1 dead, 4 injured as crude bomb goes off in Birbhum district

Suri (WB): One person was killed and four others were injured after a crude bomb accidentally exploded at Ilam Bazaar in Birbhum district, police said today. The incident happened last night when one of the crude bombs, allegedly made by the five workers, went off accidentally in the Bazaar area, they said. While 40-year-old Sheikh Kausar died on the spot, one of the persons among the four injured received serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Durgapur, they said. The other three were admitted to a local hospital, police said, adding the investigation is underway.
