We continue with our sea food series, with upscale restaurants which will give you a promising experience of an unforgettable food each diverse in its own right. We present you delicacies and some must try dishes ranging from Bengali to Goan to Manglorean cuisines. Lip smacking and scrumptious, these restaurants are worth their salt.

This restaurant located in Fort is a renowned for its seafood preparations. One can see tourist flocking to this place round the year. The menu compromises of Manglorean and Hyderabadi food. One must try out the Pomfret Hyderabadi, Butter Garlic Crab or a Gassi, Prawns Koliwada here. It is situated a 7, Sai Baba Marg, Kala-Ghoda, Fort, Mumbai. The prices are Rupees 3,500 for two approximately, steep though but worth a try.

This place boasts to serve authentic Bengali food prepared using traditional recipes. The elusive fresh water fish which you don’t come-by everyday is found here. Must try dishes are Bhapa Ilish, Smoked Hilsa, Fried-fish Kolkata style, Chingri (prawn) malai curry, Rohu, Maachher Dom jhol curry and Fish Tikka Dhakai Style. It is located at Hotel Rosewood, Tulsiwadi Lane, opposite Mahindra Heights,Tardeo. The prices are Rupees 1,200 for two people approximately.

Established in Mumbai since 1977 and has three outlets across Mumbai. This lunch home is known for its Manglorean food. Dishes one can try out here are Tandoori Pomfret, Prawns delicacies (Do try tiger prawns!) and Crabs preparations. The outlets are in Fort, Juhu and Andheri. Their prices are Rupees 1,700 approximately.

One of the names always worth mentioning in seafood is Gajalee. It has several outlets across the city but the oldest one is at Vile Parle. Things you should definitely taste are Stuffed Bangda (Mackerel), Stuffed Bombil, Butter Garlic Prawns, Crab Masala and Clams Koshambi. It is located at Kadamgiri Complex, Hanuman Road, Vile Parle East. The prices are Rupees 1,000 approximately.

This place is like a slice of Goa in Mumbai. A renowned restaurant, the sea food here is incredible. The highlights of this place are the Prawn-curry Rice and the Portuguese Galinha Cafreal also King Prawns are worth a mention too. This colourful lively place offers an excellent ambience making dining here is a unique experience. It is located at T.H Kataria Marg, Near Hinduja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai. The prices are Rupees 1,200 for two approximately.
