Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas has landed in legal trouble after a case was registered against him by the Jubilee Hills police for alleged negligent driving and obstructing a traffic constable on duty.
The incident took place on May 13, 2025, at the Journalists Colony junction on Road Number 45. According to Jubilee Hills Traffic Inspector A Praveen Kumar, the actor attempted to take an illegal U-turn at the junction, defying traffic norms. Constable Naresh, who was managing the traffic flow at the time, stopped the vehicle and directed the actor to follow the permitted route.
According to media reports, despite being warned, Sreenivas allegedly tried to proceed along the restricted path. In response, Constable Naresh stood in front of the actor’s vehicle to prevent further violation, resulting in a heated exchange between the two.
Following the confrontation, which was caught on camera and has since gone viral on social media, the Jubilee Hills police issued a notice to the actor and seized his vehicle on May 15. The case was filed based on the complaint lodged by the constable.
"A case has been registered against actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas on the 13th of this month, for violating traffic rules and misbehaving with traffic police. We have served a notice and sent it to him," said the Inspector of Jubilee Hills police station.
The actor is yet to release a statement regarding the incident.
Sreenivas made his acting debut in 2014 with the Telugu film Alludu Seenu, where he starred opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu and shared screen space with Prakash Raj. He later appeared in films like Speedunnodu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Kavacham, Sita, Rakshasudu, Alludu Adhurs and Chatrapathi.
Reportedly, he will next be seen in films like Bhairavam, Tyson Naidu, Kishkindhapuri and Haindava.
