With news of actor Sushant Singh Rajput walking out of filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor’s much-awaited film ‘Paani’ citing the delay in the film, the actor’s spokesperson stepped out yesterday to deny the reports!
“We were very amused to read speculations that Sushant Singh Rajput is not in ‘Paani’ due to a variety of absurd reasons. There is absolutely NO truth to it. Sushant keeps a low profile and let’s his work speak for itself. He has recently completed ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ and is deep in preparations for ‘Paani’ given the scale of the film,” Sushant’s spokesperson said in a statement.
Sushant Singh Rajput started his acting career through TV and latter bagged roles in films like ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ and ‘Kai Po Che’. In ‘Paani’ Sushant is playing the lead along with ‘Black’ actress Ayesha Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Shekhar Kapur’s ambitious project ‘Paani’ is said to be set in a futuristic world where water is controlled by multinational companies. The film is about two lovers who spark a war in their bid to bring water back to people. Produced by Yash Raj Films the film is set for a 2015 release.
