Deeepika Padukone recently opened up about embracing motherhood, and while she states that it is something which will definitely happen at some point of time, she doesn’t like the fact that a married actress is constantly bombarded with such questions.
During a recent interview with express.co.uk, Deepika said, “It will happen when it has to happen. Motherhood trumps being married. That’s what I hear from people who have had children. Of course, it will happen at some point but no, I think it is unfair to put women through that, to put a couple through that. I guess the day we stop asking the questions is when we will bring about change.”
On the work front, Deepika is currently shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, where he is essaying the role of real life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The movie also stars Vikrant Massey portraying the role of Deepika’s love interest.
