Kalki Koechlin has always done a variety of roles. From playing a modern Chandramukhi to essaying the role of a girl with cerebral palsy, the actress’ lineage of work is something which every actor inspires to have. However as it is said that an actor is never satisfied with his or her work and always have the want for more, same is the case with Kalki Koechlin.
She too like every other actor has a dream role which is to portray the character of Sister Nivedita in the form of a biopic. Shedding the light on her dream character, the actress, said, “I have always told that I would love to do a biopic. It has always been my dream as I am quite a history geek, I like reading history. There was a story of Sister Nivedita. She was an English women who move to India when she was very young, to follow Swami Vivekananda. It’s a very interesting story. She lived in the time of Tagore with whom she was very good friend. Although she was a British woman she supported Indian during the freedom movement. I hope that someday someone will make a film on her and I will be cast in it”
The actress also shared her thought that how happy she is of films like Badhaai Ho doing wonders at the Box Office as this proves that finally audience is giving importance to content over big stars. “I think it’s fantastic. Although I have not watched Badhaai ho but I saw the trailer, it looked hilarious and it’s really refreshing to see a Rom-com about an older couple doing so well at the Box Office”, concluded the actress.
Kalki will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy and Eros Now Original web series, Smoke.
